When you run multiple copies of Windows based applications, out of memory error message appear when you try to run new programs or attempt to execute programs that are already running, even though your computer sill have sufficient physical and page file memory available. Or it may possible due to low virtual memory situation.
So question arises how to fix computer experiencing low memory issue. Here is the solution but for that you need to understand the concept of virtual memory.
Virtual memory is a kind of temporary storage used by a computer to run programs that need more memory than it has. For instance, programs could have access to 4 gigabytes of virtual memory on a computer's hard drive, even if the computer has only 32 megabytes of RAM. The program data that does not currently fit in the computer's memory is saved into paging files.
Step by step how to fix a computer running low memory:
STEP 1. Open Computer Management (Local).
STEP 2. In the console tree, right-click Computer Management (Local), and then select Properties.
STEP 3. On the Advanced tab, click Performance Options, and under Virtual memory, click Change.
STEP 4. In the Drive list, click the drive that contains the paging file.

Copy Photos from Your Digital Camera to Your Computer
Follow these steps to copy photos from your digital camera to your computer or laptop:
1. Copying photos from your camera to your computer or laptop is also known as downloading or importing. You can download photos with one of two methods:
• Firstly, you need to connect a cable from the camera to a USB port on the computer and then turn on the camera. Now look for a menu on the camera’s LCD screen and choose the option to connect to or copy to a PC.
• Now, remove the memory card from your camera and insert it into a matching slot in the laptop or card reader. Most of the laptops accept several different kinds of memory cards. You may see a
pop-up tip indicating that a driver is being installed to allow Windows 7 to access the device when the first time you connect your camera to your computer or insert the memory card.
2. Now, the AutoPlay dialog box will appear the first time you copy photos. You need to select the Always Do This for Pictures check box and unless you see a different program under AutoPlay you intend to use for pictures, click the Import Pictures and Videos Using Windows button.
3. As Windows 7 searches the device for photos the first Import Pictures and Videos dialog box appears briefly. The more photos on the device, the longer this box displays, but the dialog box is replaced automatically by the next one.
4. Now the next dialog box will appear with a thumbnail of the first picture found. To add tags you need to use the Tag These Pictures field, which are labels or categories, to all of the photos you import at this time. Enter a tag such as vacation, graduation, or birthday, if all the photos have something in common. For example, all are from a vacation or celebration . You can also detach multiple tags with semicolons: for example- vacation; New Mexico; etc. Later, if you want to search for photos and group photos by tag instead of by location or date taken, you can use these tags. Don’t enter a tag if these photos have nothing in common. Now click the Import button to continue.
5. As photos are copied, a thumbnail of each photo appears briefly. Now you need to select the Erase After Importing check box. Windows 7 verifies each photo was copied successfully and then deletes those photos from your camera’s memory card if Erase After Importing is already checked. If it is not checked then you have to manually erase photos from your camera as a separate step using your camera’s controls.
6. Now, Windows 7 opens the Imported Pictures and Videos window to display your recently imported photos after the downloading process completes. Double-click one of your newly copied photos to preview it.
7. Now preview each photo that you copied using Windows Photo Viewer and click the red X in the toolbar if you want to delete a photo. If a photo isn’t upright, you can click one of the two Rotate buttons to rechange the alignment of that photo. You can also use the Next button (also right arrow from your keyboard) to step through all of the photos you just copied. Close Windows Photo Viewer when you are done.
